Racine Taylor Hopkins

Racine Taylor Hopkins

1.   Name, Nicknames: Racine (or) Rae, Rogue Status, Race, Dynamite
2.   Hometown: Have to admit I grew up in Thousand Oaks (which means I was a valley girl), but have lived in Venice Beach for 3 years and now am a true G.
 3.   Sponsors:  DVS - Rogue Status - Arnette - Grindking
4.   Skateboarding accomplishments: I would have to say my accomplishments are my injuries (split my lip open-got 3 stitches, chipped my tooth, cracked my head open twice-last time I suffered a minor concussion and had to get 4 staples). I say the more you get injured means the more your stepping up your game. But to say the least, the thing I am most proud about is busting a Fakie Bigflip boardslide.

5.   How long have you been skating? 5 magical years
6.   How did you get into skating? The thought of challenge and risk...hahahaha
7.   Where's your favorite place to skate? UCLA campus Westwood
8.   Anyone you look up to in the skateboard world? To all the pros, ams, and groms....and to the true peeps who live and breathe skateboarding out there, my love to you all!

9.   Describe your perfect skate day: Roll outta bed, pick up the homies, debate on skate spots (2 hours later), hit a skate spot, shred it, kill it, and merk it, then continue to hit spots till dark (maybe even light up some spots in the dark), hit the hot tub, hit a party.....get home at the crack of dawn and snooooozzze.
10.  What kind of reactions or responses do/have you received from people when you tell them that you skate?  Ridiculous ones which include a massive quantity of questions.
11.  Any advice for fellow female skaters or girls wanting to get into skating? Listen close..... Life is a risk all around. If we can take the risk to drive in or drive a car in general, then why not skate and expose yourself to a greater experience with the same risk? Remember there is one love to skateboarding, so stay true to it....NO FEAR JUST SKATE!
