Jenni Whoop

We caught up with, the Rocky Mountain Shred Queen, Jenni Whoop this month in hopes that she would be our July Sk8sister "Sk8er of the Month".  We scored because she said "YES"!  Check out what she has to say......

1. Nicknames: Jenni Whoop

2. Hometown:  Telluride, CO

3.  Skateboarding Accomplishments:
1st place Rage in Da Cage BC Surf & Sport

2nd place Nathan Lazarus Nedskate

Meeting awesome chicks from Sk8sister like Brigid

4.  How long have you been skating?  6-ish years, and still going at it!

5.  How did you get into skating?  I love snowboarding and wanted to keep that motion year round, skateboarding was perfect, just throw on a pair of skate shoes, grab your board and head to the park. The challenges of skateboarding are purely fun and extremely rewarding when you land a trick you’ve been working at.

6.  Where's your favorite place to skate?  Bowls! Any bowl that has flow and challenges. Ridgway, CO… pool coping and over vert pockets yet mellow and smooth.

 7. Anyone you look up to in the skateboarding world?  Female rippers! Anyone out there thrashing with a smile.

8. Describe your perfect skate day: Blue bird day, just skating with my friends. Learning new fun moves and catching air.

 10. What kind of reactions or responses do/have you received from people when you tell them that you skate? Anything from strange looks, to throwin’ up the horns.

11. Any advice for fellow female skaters or girls wanting to get into skateboarding? Keep with it. The feeling of being on your board and cruising is unexplainable!

12.  Anything else you want to add?  Sk8sister is rad! Good to see the girls come together and skate.

The crew at Sk8sister met Jenni last year at the Carbondale Skate park in Colorado.  We were in awe of her shreddability and positive vibes.  Thanks for the words, Jenni.  You are a sick role model for the ladies.
Keep killing it!
